Our modest collection of children’s books has found its new home in Kanzbi in Zürich! What was once Maletaklatan, coined from the terms Maleta and Aklatan, a collection of about 50 Filipino children’s books, has now been permanently moved to the Children’s Library of Kanzbi in Zürich.
Catering to multi-lingual children of the region of Zürich, Kanzbi has welcomed our collection to be part of their intercultural library for books and toys. Now available publicly for all families for check-out, we are happy to share our stories with other curious children – with or without Filipino roots.
Learn love and joy of the Filipino heritage language through fun Filipino nursery rhymes! With books, free play, artwork thrown in, kids from ages 1-4 with a parent are welcome.

We hope that you are all well and enjoying a lovely summer break! You may all know that during the height of the pandemic, we were forced to hold our Kuwentuhang Sabado (KS) meetings via Zoom. It was a great experience to have friends from all over the world join our storytelling sessions and share in our mission.

Thank you again to everyone who was able to attend and make the lockdown a little more bearable for us and our kids – and perhaps a little more memorable, too!
Ever since the COVID restrictions regarding group activities have been lifted in Switzerland, we were able to meet again for a couple of live KS sessions in the previous school year. It was great fun to finally see each other again! However, we also realized that KS meetings will never be quite the same.

As we are now approaching our 6th school year and as COVID is still looming over us in one way or another, we would like to assess the current needs of our member families as well as other families who may have not yet been part of our KS live sessions. This will help us know how we can offer you KS sessions that are most beneficial to you and your children as we move forward.

Manigong Bagong Taon! Pagkatapos ng kalahating taon na masasayang pagtitipon ng Corona-Conform KS sa Zürich, magbababalik ang KS via Zoom nitong Enero para makasali muli ang mga kaibigan at kapamilya KS natin mula sa Pilipinas, Amerika, at iba pang bansa sa Europa!
Mula noong Setembre – nakapagtipon-tipon ang KS sa ELCH sa Zürich bawat buwan
Nitong panahon ng Coronavirus, nais parin natin ipagpatuloy ang KS para makapagkwentuhan at kantahan at kung anu-ano pa.
noong unang KS via Zoom sa panahon ng ika-unang Lockdown dahil sa Coronavirus – gumawa kami ng makakain na coronavirus!
Marami sa atin abroad ay hindi nakauwi ng Pilipinas nitong bagong taon para mabisita ang ating mga pamilya at salubungin ang bagong taon. Dito sa Swisa, may mga probinsya na pinagbawal ang paputok para makaiwas sa pagtipon-tipon ng maraming tao sa isang lugar. Subalit, kahit na iba ang panahon ngayun, gusto parin natin isalubong ang bagong taon na may tatak Pinoy.
Kaya sali na kayo sa pinakaunang KS natin sa bagong taon. Sa unang pagkakataon, susubukan ng ating mga KS kids na magkwento mula sa isa sa kanilang paboritong aklat.
At para sa ating group activity, ihanda ang mga susunod:
cardboard-roll (tissue roll na walang laman)
dyaryo (o lumang papel)
masking tape
maliliit na pasta na hilaw, butil ng mais, butil ng bigas
pangkulay
Sa ika-9 ng Enero ang ating KS. alas-10 n.u. sa oras ng CET.
Balik eskwela, balik Kuwentuhang Sabado na naman!!! Inaanyayahan namin kayo na dumalo sa Kuwentuhang Sabado nitong ika-5 ng Setyembre mula 10nu hanggang 12nt. Katakam-takam at nakakabusog ang KS na ito at mayroon tayong lulutuin sa araw na ito. Kita-kita tayo!
Dahil sa Covid-19, may mga bago tayong mga patakaran ukol sa Covid-19 tulad ng paghugas ng kamay, paggamit ng disinfectant sa pagpasok, social distancing, at paggamit ng mask para sa mga magulang.
Back to school, back to Kuwentuhang Sabado! We would like to invite you to a face to face Kuwentuhang Sabado on September 5th from 10am to 12pm at the ELCH Zentrum Oerlikon. It will be a tummy-rumbling and filling session as we whip up something from the kitchen. See you there!
In line with current Covid safety precautions, we will be washing our hands, using disinfectant, observing social distancing during the session, and parents will be required to wear a mask.
Open to all current members, and we welcome curious families to join us as well!

Sa ikalawang pagkakataon, magkakaroon ng picnic ang Kuwentuhang Sabado sa «Luneta ng Suiza», ang rebulto ni Jose Rizal na matatagpuan sa Wassen, Uri sa Sabado, ika-15 ng Agosto, 2020, alas 12 ng hapon.
Naipasinaya noong Agosto, 2014, ang rebulto ni Rizal ay matatagpuan ilang metro lang ang kalayuan sa lumang istasyon ng tren ng Wassen. Kasama ito sa Gotthard Trail at may lugar para magpiknik para sa mag pamilyang may mga bata.
Kuwentuhang Sabado
