Dear Parents,
Dear Members and Friends of Kuwentuhang Sabado,

We hope that you are all well and enjoying a lovely summer break! You may all know that during the height of the pandemic, we were forced to hold our Kuwentuhang Sabado (KS) meetings via Zoom. It was a great experience to have friends from all over the world join our storytelling sessions and share in our mission.

Thank you again to everyone who was able to attend and make the lockdown a little more bearable for us and our kids – and perhaps a little more memorable, too!

Ever since the COVID restrictions regarding group activities have been lifted in Switzerland, we were able to meet again for a couple of live KS sessions in the previous school year. It was great fun to finally see each other again! However, we also realized that KS meetings will never be quite the same.

As we are now approaching our 6th school year and as COVID is still looming over us in one way or another, we would like to assess the current needs of our member families as well as other families who may have not yet been part of our KS live sessions. This will help us know how we can offer you KS sessions that are most beneficial to you and your children as we move forward.

It should take up no more than about 15 minutes of your time and your replies will be treated confidentially. (You can opt to take part in the survey anonymously.) We also encourage you to share the link and spread the word about KS to other friends or families who may not have joined KS yet but could be interested (all information about KS can be found on our homepage.) Participants will automatically enter a prize draw for one of three shopping vouchers worth 30.- Swiss Francs (~32 USD)!

Patuloy ang KS sa panahon ng Corona

Kahit na may lockdown na naganap sa Europa at patuloy na nagaganap sa Pilipinas at iba pang bahagi ng mundo, patuloy pa rin ang interes na makinig at matuto sa wikang Pilpino para sa mga bata at kanilang mga magulang. Dahil dito, nagsimulang magkaroon ng pinakaunang Kuwentuhang Sabado-Lockdown Special sa  Zoom noong ika-4 ng Abril. Mula sa aklat na «May Giyera sa Katawan ni Mark» ni Luis Gatmaitan ay itinuon ang paksa sa nagaganap na krisis sa coronavirus.

Naging masaya at matagumpay ang pagpupulong na ito na dinalo ng mga pamilya na nasa Europa, Pilipinas at Amerika. Oo, naging international na rin ang hatak ng Kuwentuhang Sabado.

Sa mga sumunod na Kwentuhang Sabado- Lockdown Special, naging paksa ang tagsibol , ang pamilya , at noong nakaraang lingo, ang mga parte ng katawan. Lubos na naging masaya ang mga kantahan, laro at gawaing sining at hulaan sa bawat pagpupulong.

Sa pinakauna-unahang pagkakataon sa kasaysayan ng Kuwentuhang Sabado ay magkakaroon tayo ng panauhing kwentista.

Nais namin kayong imbitahan sa aming ika-5 na Kuwentuhang Sabado Lockdown Special sa Zoom na gaganapin ngayong Sabado, ika-30 ng Mayo, alas 10 ng umaga (CET) (4pm PH Time).

Sa pinakauna-unahang pagkakataon sa kasaysayan ng Kuwentuhang Sabado ay magkakaroon tayo ng panauhing kwentista. Si Tita Maita ay propesora sa Unibersidad ng Pilipinas at isinulat ang aklat na “When Zero Left Number Land” na isinalin at babasahin niya sa Pilipino.
