In cooperation with Noi-P, our first KS (Kuwentuhang Sabado) session was held at the GZ Schindlergut in Zürich from 10am-12nn. With a handful of surprise visitors, we enjoyed a morning getting to know one another, albeit adjusting to our very first session.
The children, ranging from 4 months to 9 years old, were quick to engage in free play, in mixed languages of Filipino, English and Swiss German. 😉
After reading a few Filipino books together and singing “Sampung mga daliri” and later “Bahay Kubo” together, it was soon time for merienda! And who doesn’t love Filipino pastries? Ranging from colorful puto and home-made buko-pandesal, it’s quite possible, the parents enjoyed this part more than the kids!
And though the weather did not quite cooperate, with the heavy rains keeping us indoors for the entire session, it was a good first and hopefully our next session in August will be even better!
Check out the photos below!
It’s hard to choose from so many books!
Our Mommy Sining reads aloud a fun little Tagalog children’s book about parts of the body.
Our Mommy Cherry reads aloud a beautifully illustrated counting book in Tagalog.
Whatever it was about– it sure had everyone cracking up!
And who can resist merienda?!
Til the next Kuwentuhang Sabado! See you there!
